History of Sorg Insurance Agency Inc.:

The Murray M. Sorg Agency was started in 1948 by Murray M. Sorg.  He was joined by his son, Randy, in 1983, who started out selling life & health insurance, and later expanded to all lines of insurance.  Murray’s daughter, Susie, entered the business in 1991, and sells all lines of insurance.  Randy purchased the business in 1998, and Susie took over in 2009.  The business was incorporated, and is now known as Sorg Insurance Agency Inc. 

In December of 2009, Susie and her husband, Shane, purchased a building and the agency moved to a new location.  We are now located at 114 3rd Ave NE, Independence, IA. 

While growth continues to be a goal of the agency, providing excellent customer service is our main focus.  We would like to provide all your insurance needs in one place to minimize gaps in coverage.  With modern technology, you are able to contact our agency 24 hours per day through email and our website.
